Delete Your Account
TaleCast lets you delete your account and all associated data directly from the app — no support ticket or web form required. Your account closes immediately, and you have 14 days to change your mind before anything is permanently erased.
How to delete your account
- Open the TaleCast app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section and tap Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation screen, then tap Delete My Account to confirm.
Your account closes immediately: you are signed out and it can no longer be used. You do not need to contact us first.
Changed your mind?
You have 14 days. Email [email protected] from the address on the account within 14 days of closing it, and we can reopen it with your content intact.
After those 14 days the account is queued for permanent deletion and can no longer be recovered — by you or by us. Permanent deletion is carried out in a cleanup that runs monthly, so your data is fully erased within roughly 30 to 60 days of your request.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, email, and account credentials
- Your reading/listening history and progress
- Follows, ratings, reviews, and community posts
- Any stories or episodes you authored on the platform (per our standard content-deletion rules)
Some records — like completed transaction history — may be retained as required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance, in line with our Privacy Policy.
